#703: Reindeer Lullaby Set

This musical reindeer comes with a comfy, machine washable blanket. Press the candy cane to play "Jingle Bells." Non-replaceable button-cell battery included. The dimensions of the blanket are 39-1/4" L x 29-1/2" W. The regular brochure price for this item was $24.99, but I am willing to let this set go for the low price of $14.99 plus the cost of shipping. If you are interested, leave me a comment. I only have three left!

#694: Shameless Avon Plug

I lost a friend over this, so I quit doing it. Months later, I've come to the conclusion that she probably had deeper seated issues with me than the fact that I promoted my Avon business on LiveJournal. That was probably just the straw that broke the camel's back, you know?

In any case, I am still selling Avon. I LOVE Avon. It makes me happy. I purchased many of my Christmas gifts from Avon this year, including gifts for my husband, stepfather and daughter. Avon really does have something for everyone. If you're interested, you can check out my website at:

Shipping is free on orders $10 or more for a limited time. Just enter the code 'HOLLY' when you check out. For guaranteed delivery before Christmas, place your order by 12:00PM (EST) tomorrow! This is the perfect opportunity to get those last minute gifts! Order now!

Some of you may have been wondering about the business opportunity I spoke of in this entry. I didn't want to mention it until I got all the details squared away, which I have now. As of yesterday, I am now an Avon representative! If you are interested, please check out my website:

I have already sent grand opening emails to the members of my friends list I have email addresses for. If you didn't receive a grand opening email and would like one, please leave me your email address and I will be glad to send you one! If I've sent you an email and you don't wish to be on my mailing list, you can unsubscribe.

If you see something you like on the website, please feel free to order! Your order will be shipped directly to your home. Plus, if you spend more than $30, shipping is free! Avon has lots of great gifts for men and kids, too, so be sure to check that out! And let's not forget that Avon has clothes, shoes and home decor items too!

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email me! All of my contact info can be found on my website in the upper, righthand corner. I look forward to hearing from you! I am so excited about this opportunity. It's something I've been wanting to do for a long time!

Today was my weigh in day (I do it every Monday). I weighed in at 156.4. I was 160.4 last week, which means I lost FOUR POUNDS this week. Four pounds is a good loss any week, but I feel extremely accomplished this week because Aunt Flo is visiting and all I've wanted to do is eat and not work out. I haven't been hungry, it's just like the switch in my brain that says "EAT ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING" was switched on. I managed to resist the temptation and work out and look what I have to show for it. Ahhh, it's perfect really.

In other news... I have been following this blog by a man who is in the process of going from 505 pounds to 230 pounds. So far, he's lost 146 pounds. He has been a real inspiration to me. If he can lose that much weight, I can definitely lose 25 pounds, you know? Anyway, I left him a comment telling him that I really like his approach to weight loss and I think he's doing a great job and he emailed me back! Yes, my very own Richard Simmons emailed me. If that's not the coolest thing ever, I don't know what is.

Comment and ask me to list five things I associate with you. Then take those five things and expand upon them in your journal. megan0312 chose the following five for me:

I have been married to the love of my life for three years. We met when I was 19 years old, started dating three months later, and got married just two months after that! We have our fair share of ups and downs, as is apparent in my journal, but we live the good times to the fullest and fight like hell to make it through the bad times. So far, so good!

My husband and I have one child, but I would love, love, LOVE to have more. We recently decided that we are going to start trying to conceive again this summer, which both excites and scares me. It's been so long since I've been big and pregnant! I mostly look forward to it, though, and can't wait to hold a new baby in my arms.

For awhile, it seemed like I was the girl that everyone loved to hate at my workplace. One of the ladies, Marie, had it in for me big time and I still have no idea why. She would just pick and pick and pick at me. I finally had enough and told my boss that he needed to do something about it or I would sue. I haven't had anymore problems.

My father raised me to believe in God. He taught me how to pray when I was a small child. I prayed the prayers he taught me every night, tacking on my own commentary at the end of each one. I couldn't go to sleep without praying. As I got older and continued to learn about God, my faith intensified. I believe it's what sustains me during life's storms.

I'm not sure why megan0312 associates family with me. I am not as close to my family as some are! As it stands, most of my family members live at least two hours away and I'm okay with it. I enjoy the freedom to live my life the way we want to, without any outside interference. Sometimes I do wish things were different, though.

My Sweet Baby Girl

Abrianna is six months old now. (Where has the last half a year gone?!) It seems like only yesterday that I was busily preparing for her arrival and longing to hold her. Now I have had the pleasure of spending the last six months with her -- studying her, learning her, enjoying her, adoring her. I thank God for allowing me to be a mother and blessing me with this perfect little bundle of joy.

During the last six months, Abrianna has learned many new things. She can roll over, sit up without help, and eat strained foods and baby cereal. She kicks her legs like a frog when laying on her tummy, but hasn't quite mastered scooting yet. She has learned how to blow raspberries and imitate people. And she knows how to warm my heart with her smile.

Abrianna has taught me many new things too. She has taught me that motherhood is quite possibly the best thing that a woman can ever experience. She has taught me what unconditional love feels like for there is nothing that she could ever say or do that would make me stop loving her. But her most profound lesson thus far? She has taught me that the world doesn't revolve around me.

Abrianna has a doctor's appointment tomorrow. He will probably tell me that she has doubled her weight and grown a couple inches and I will probably have mixed emotions about it. I'll be happy that she is growing and thriving, and I'll be sad that my little baby is growing up. But she will always be my baby, no matter how big she gets, because I am, and always will be, her mother.

Six months have sure flown by fast, as I am sure the coming years will. One minute has turned into one day, one day has turned into one month, and one month has turned into six. There is nothing that I can do about the passage of time but make sure I enjoy every single moment of it. If the coming years are anything like the last six months have been, it won't be hard.
